A “rebound” relationship comes into play when a person attempts to engage in a misguided attempt to move on with their lives. Quite a few people fear being alone so they will, unfortunately, jump headlong into the dating scene. In effect, rebound relationships are just quick fixes in an attempt to drown out our pain by grabbing onto the closest “passion” that they can find.

When your ex is in a rebound relationship, it is an indication that your ex still has strong feelings for you. One of the reasons why this is a boon is that your ex will more than likely get into a relationship with someone that is completely opposite of you. In effect, you will then be able to determine what it is that your ex is actually craving in a relationship.
